Men’s BUCS: Michaelmas Update

This year, we’re in one of the second divisions of the Midlands league. We essentially have to win every game in order to get promoted for next year, so that’s what we’re going to do.

So far we’ve played ARU (15-0), Coventry (15-0), and UEA (15-3).

In addition to the league, we also have a cup competition. If we win three knockout games, we qualify for Division 3 Outdoor Nationals in April. Yes, it is possible to earn promotion in the league and not play nationals (don’t ask…). We won our first round game against Lincoln 12-5 in a windy game at Coldham’s Common. Our second round match is against UEA in February.

There’s really not much to say about these outdoor games. We have far more experience and it’s shown. We will be working to ensure that our good run of results continues through Lent
